Introduction to Photovoltaic Technology Workshop
June 29 through July 3, 2009
Richard Gottlieb, President and Chief Engineer at Sunnyside Solar, Inc. will be presenting a week-long workshop entitled "Introduction to Photovoltaic Technology" at Forget-Me-Not Farm in Tinmouth, VT, Monday through Friday, June 29 through July 3, on the grounds of the SolarFest festival site. John Blittersdorf of Central Vermont Solar & Wind will co-teach this program.
This course is for individuals interested in exploring and learning about photovoltaic technology, its operation and its installation. A complete review of all components of the systems, design criteria and load analysis. Participants will receive hands-on experience assembling all of the PV systems for SolarFest's annual festival. Typically morning classes will be in presentation format, and the hands-on activity format will be in the afternoons and often extends into the early evenings.
The fee for this week-long workshop is $675, which includes lunches during the workshop, a text on Photovoltaic Installations, a packet of related information and a full weekend pass to SolarFest. On-site camping is available during the workshop for just $20. Festival car/RV camping for the weekend of SolarFest is an additional $20.
Class times: 9am to 5pm with the possibility of some evening AV presentations
